Marty Schlosser is an avid furniture designer-maker, whose work features daring curves and complex geometric structures. He has always finished his own work and as his reputation as a skilled finisher grew, he was increasingly called upon by other makers to finish their work. This opened the door to a brief career in production-level spray finishing. But throughout the years, his love of furniture design and making prevailed.
Now retired from the craft, Marty continues making furniture for his family and closest friends in his home-based studio workshop. He is always interested in sharing ideas with others about all aspects of woodworking and most especially, wood finishing. Marty has written extensively for Canadian Woodworking and Home Improvement magazine and blogs for Fuji Spray and Target Coatings. He conducts twice-annual spray finishing workshops for Fuji Spray in Toronto.
