Allow us to introduce Doug Gillikin, an esteemed building materials expert with an extraordinary career spanning over 25 years. With a solid foundation in distribution, Doug’s expertise has predominantly revolved around the manufacturing side of the industry, earning him a remarkable reputation and numerous accolades.
Currently, Doug serves as a valuable member of the Accsys team in a technical role, responsible for an expansive territory covering 17 states, Bermuda, and the Bahamas. His primary focus revolves around the architectural market, where he dedicates his time to serving clients, conducting AIA CEU seminars, training distribution sales teams, and ensuring that end users derive the maximum benefits from our products across hundreds of different applications.
Previous to Accsys, Doug was the National Accounts Director for Woodgrain Millwork – Manufacturing Division with responsibility for ensuring customer service was maximized while also ensuring 5 manufacturing facilities had proper order files. Additionally, working with national accounts to ensure JIT inventory, programs, marketing and training with his team to ensure a consistent message on products was conveyed to the marketplace.
Beyond the wood industry, Doug proudly served 6 years in the US Army in a variety of locations around the world. Prior to and after that service, he earned a Business Administration Degree from Mississippi State University. In his personal life, he is an avid World War II historian, enjoys the game of golf, freshwater fishing and hunting a variety of game in South Louisiana – Sportsman Paradise.
