AWFS® was honored to host some special guests at the 2021 AWFS®Fair. AWFS’ advocacy agency, Lobbyit, invited staff from Nevada legislators’ offices: Dane Hudson, Special Projects and Grants Director for Senator Jacky Rosen (NV), and District Director Terry Care from the office of Representative Dina Titus (NV-1).

A visit with Sharon Givens, Incoming Board President of the National Career Development Association (NCDA) was also facilitated by Lobbyit. AWFS looks forward to future opportunities to partner with NCDA to share information about wood industry careers with students and career-seekers with whom NCDA’s members work.

These guests were able to learn more about our industry and new advancements in technology and materials and to connect with exhibitors. They spent time at the Cabinet Pro booth, a family-run company headquartered in Las Vegas, NV. They also connected with Sindie Reed, SkillsUSA Nevada State Director about ways to partner more and highlight SkillsUSA.

AWFS® also thanks Senator Catherine Cortez Masto (NV) for the
